I’m really excited about this years pantone colour of the year Very Peri. I love purples and lavenders so I am really hoping this colour trend makes it’s way into fashion. That being so I hope to see spring filled with lots and lots of periwinkle coloured clothes! Very Peri is a beautiful deep periwinkle that I don’t see to often in fashion lately. I’m questing myself why I haven’t been wearing purple because it’s such beautiful colour. I’ve had these purple banana republic pants for a few years now so here is another cute outfit I did styling these pants in a spring summer look. Here
One of the things I love so much about this colour is how pretty it is in winter! We still have so much snow and spring doesn’t look like it will be here for a few months. Plus these pants are wool so they are perfect for the cold weather. These pants are so vibrant and I really wanted them to stand out, so I styled them purple on purple. Mixing deep vibrant colours with pastel colours gives such a pretty contrast to your outfit. To keep the rest of the outfit simple I used grey for my coat and bag.
I had a few different options for the top but then I found this lavender sweater at winners. The fabric so soft and the colour is perfect for spring. The sleeves are a puffy style and I adore the little details on the cuffs. It gives the sweater a more elegant and dressy feel to it.
Another colour alternative I would chose instead of purple on purple would be a pale periwinkle blue. For either the top or coat would be beautiful for transiting into spring. I don’t quite have anything in that colour so something to look for. I also love the idea of mixing pale yellow or golds with purple. Picking complementary colours is always a good way to start if your not sure on what colours go together.
