Is there truly anything more iconic than a Burberry trench coat? I found myself in Toronto, back in the city I’ve missed almost as much as great shopping, and somehow walked out with a double-breasted Burberry trench in that perfect honey shade. You know the one. The one that’s truly emblematic for those who seek high fashion. Because let’s be honest you don’t got to Gucci for a trench coat, you go to Burberry!
Naturally, I had to wear my beloved Chanel brooch with it, and in doing so, it almost felt criminal knowing full well it would forever leave it’s mark on the lapel. Yes, I did it anyway. Perhaps someone should call the fashion police on me… but I somehow suspect I’d be let off with a warning. After all, it would have been far more of a fashion faux pas not to pair these two icons together.
A Burberry trench isn’t just a coat, it’s an investment piece but one designed to last a lifetime and be passed down through generations. Of course I’m putting this coat to the test and, I managed to get a small stain on it the second time I wore it. The chaos of trying to keep anything pristine when you’re a mom, I suppose. Still, nothing beats quality over quantity, and truly, you only need one double breasted Burberry trench in your life. Stain or no stain perfection is overrated.
But I’m sure I’ll get that pesky stain out or perhaps it’s simply the patina of a story well loved. Evidently, style is lived in, aged to perfection!
